TEMPSAFE is a simple and highly reliable cargo oil pump bearing temperature monitoring system designed for compliance with IACS UR F39. The system comprises of MMS800 intrinsically safe surface mounted PT100 temperature transmitters arranged at the bearing case on the pump. The MMS800 probes mount simply by means of an M4 x 5mm tapped hole, and incorporate a ‘rhino-flex’ cable for exceptional durability in the
pumproom – no major drilling is required for installation. The M3000 control and alarm panel continuously monitors the outputs from all temperature transmitters and provides alarm annunciation in the form of a dedicated LED for each point. An integral 2 line 16 character LCD further identifies the location of the alarm and the measured value. Open collector outputs are available to drive remote annunciators, and an RS485 output provides optional serial comms’. Gas detectors and bilge alarms can be intergrated with the system for complete compliance with SOLAS II-2 Reg’ 4.
